A growing number of paid ministry roles

It is always encouraging to hear about new roles being developed in the Anna Chaplaincy network and its related ministries, and to see funded opportunities for roles which seek to improve the lives of older people. Here are three posts currently being advertised, which may be of interest, all based in the Hampshire area.

Anna Chaplain with St Mary's Parish Church, Portchester

A part-time role offering pastoral support and promoting the spiritual and emotional welfare of older people. With the increasing development of housing for older people in the Portchester area and the time constraints of the vicar, an Anna Chaplain is being sought to support the church's work with older people in the community. You can find the full job description and application details here.

Seniors ministry worker at Winchester Baptist Church

The individual will be expected to lead and work with an existing team of volunteers in maintaining the present profile of activities. Lunch club manager at Winchester Well-being

A self-employed role for six hours a week helping to oversee the ongoing coordination of the Winchester Well-being lunch club, which offers two lunches a week for seniors at two churches in the city.
