A presidential role for Anna Chaplain Maggie

The national Anna Chaplaincy team and BRF Ministries sent a message of congratulations and prayers upon the appointment and commissioning service of the Revd Maggie Rich as president for the Baptist Union in Wales (English wing) on Friday 5 July in Sarn, Newtown, mid-Wales. Maggie sent us a photo from the day (she is in the pink shirt) and shared:

‘[From left to right] There’s the Revd Tim Moody (previous president), the Revd Judith Morris (general secretary Baptist Union Wales) and guest preacher the Revd Peter Thomas from Aberystwyth, who was the previous General Secretary and has always influenced my ministry. My focus for the year will be the older people in our churches and communities, with particular reference to Anna Chaplaincy!’

‘We are absolutely delighted that Maggie has received this honour,’ said Debbie, ‘and we know that she will continue to be a quiet but persistent advocate for all generations to be seen and served across Wales. Congratulations, Maggie – we look forward to this coming year and seeing how your wider influence and remit will inspire further older peoples’ ministry.’
