Pam Shaw, Anna Chaplain for Lowestoft in Suffolk, has shared a beautiful post with us from her church's online Advent calendar. It not only describes her work offering 'companionship and spiritual support' but recounts the story of 'Danny'.

'By God’s grace' we're told, 'Pam’s gentle conversations with him have been a catalyst for particular transformation. Complex issues had alienated him from family but, encouraged by Pam, Danny found the courage to phone his son. Danny's also made a fresh start with his Christian faith, the group photo recalling a joyous occasion at which he was welcomed back – after 30 years – into the Roman Catholic church.'
