Last week, BRF Ministries launched a new book Death and Life by Joanna Collicutt and colleagues, and the reflection cards created to accompany it. To talk further about these new resources, on Wednesday 5 June we are hosting a webinar (2.00–4.00 pm BST) in which Joanna will be in conversation with Anna Chaplaincy founder Debbie Thrower. There will also be input from Julia Burton-Jones and other members of the Anna Chaplaincy team and wider network. The webinar will combine theological insights and practical wisdom to enable churches to create spaces for people to discuss mortality and what is sometimes known ‘as the last taboo’.

Death is a certainty for all humanity, yet losing sight of our mortality has somehow crept into our social and religious life, and has rarely been the topic of conversation or of teaching. This resource therefore brings a welcome opportunity to explore feelings, attitudes and actions surrounding death and life together, in a church context. The Anna Chaplaincy team welcomes such a focus on this area of conversation, and will be promoting Joanna’s thought-provoking resource throughout the network.’
