We are pleased to hear that the Revd Marie Lucchetta-Redmond the new Anna Chaplaincy coordinator for Ely Diocese has been commissioned at St Andrew’s Church, Girton, Cambridge. The service, on Sunday February 2 - marking the season of Candlemas - was led by Ely Diocese' Director for Mission and Ministry, the Revd Peter Leech whom Marie now works alongside.
Revd Marie gave a narrative reflection that day, based on the widow and prophetess Anna, who appears with Simeon in Luke's gospel, Chapter 2. You may watch it here on YouTube, starting at 21.57": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dobhMo49_JE&t=3989s

Marie strongly encourages all Anna Chaplains to keep a spiritual journal. 'Every Chaplain receives a journal in a bright blue colour... I will stick the Anna Chaplaincy prayer on the front page of my own journal!'
The Anna Chaplaincy Prayer
Faithful God, you have promised in Christ to be with us to the end of time. Come close to those who have lived long and experienced much. Help them to continue to be faithful and, within the all-age kingdom of God, to find ways to go on giving and receiving your grace, day by day. For your glory and your kingdom. Amen
Marie will be working two days a week - Mondays and Tuesdays- as the Local Anna Chaplaincy Coordinator for Ely Diocese, and may be contacted at anna.chaplaincy@elydiocese.org
