St Albans’ Anna Chaplain Maggie Dodd

Congratulations to Anna Chaplain Maggie Dodd for an excellent article in her local Hertfordshire paper. Maggie, who is based in St Albans, recently used her ‘Faith Focus’ occasional column to highlight the value of music in relation to older people, especially those living with dementia.

You may have read last month’s blog about Maggie’s local directory for older people which I suggested (writes Debbie Thrower) that other chaplains might like to copy. Maggie reports:

‘I was very cheered last week when a local social prescriber from a large city centre surgery here in St Albans requested 50 copies of my booklet which she has been handing out to older patients referred to her. Very encouraging.’

She is also in touch with another Anna Chaplaincy network member in East Anglia keen to pick her brains about initiating just such a directory in her local area.
