Anna Chaplains Liz York and Ali Griffiths have got their new ministry off to a wonderful start, initiating Messy Vintage in their church hall for the first time a few weeks ago. Ali reports:

‘On the day, we invited five of our church ladies to Eccles Hall [our church hall]: this is an ideal location for us, because as we’re part of the church, we get the hall free! We had a crafts activity afternoon making Easter cards; these amazing ladies range in age from mid-80s and one of our ladies is soon to be a sprightly 96!!! We had a lovely afternoon, and we served tea and coffee and cakes [my favourite part].’
Revd Tim Mayfield came for a visit to pray a blessing over the afternoon, and there was a chance to sing a couple of favourite hymns, ‘All things bright and beautiful’ and ‘For the beauty of the earth’.
Ali concludes:
‘It was a lovely afternoon, which the ladies thoroughly enjoyed. We can’t wait for the next one, watch this space.’
