Much has been happening in Exeter Diocese

Debbie Ducille

On Sunday 4 February a wonderful commissioning service took place in Higher Brixham, when the archdeacon of Totnes commissioned six Anna Chaplains and 14 Anna Friends to various mission communities in south Devon. There were several already commissioned Anna Chaplains and Anna Friends in the congregation supporting the new group, so the archdeacon invited all to come forward for a blessing at the end of the service. It was a very affirming occasion.

Further commissionings took place in Uplyme.

And a further four Anna Friends were commissioned at Crediton Congregational Church, supporting the work of Anna Chaplain Caroline Smith.

Andrea Wilkins was commissioned as an Anna Friend in Dunsford.

Lastly, back in December, at Goodrington, one Anna Chaplain and six Anna Friends were commissioned by Revd Gary Deighton, with a beautiful Anna Chaplaincy-themed cake to follow!
