We're so pleased to welcome a new recruit to the BRF Ministries' Anna Chaplaincy team. Jane Butcher started this week as a three-day-a-week coordinator alongside Marian Muskett.
Her appointment has been made possible thanks to funding by a new group of donors who could see just how important it was as we grow to boost our front-facing work among those wanting to know more about Anna Chaplaincy.
Thanks to the new funding we’ve been able to appoint Jane as our new coordinator very swiftly. 'I am looking forward to being part of such an important ministry as it continues to grow and support those, supporting others,' she said.
Jane is well known to us as a former BRF Ministries' colleague; in the past leading work with schools and with Advocacy among volunteers. So, we know she has terrific organisational skills, as well as having experience as a care home chaplain herself. She’s also been part of a ministry team supporting older people in a large church near Birmingham and has a particular interest in helping people living with dementia and their families.
Anna Chaplaincy Pioneer, Debbie Thrower said:
'We couldn’t be more thrilled that Jane has re-joined the charity at a time when more people than ever want how to know how to become an Anna Chaplain; to go on our training courses and brush up their skills with our continuing professional development (CPD).’
Ministry Lead, Debbie Ducille added:
‘It has been a real answer to prayer that Jane joins us on the national Anna Chaplaincy team. Firstly, that such generous donors have made this additional coordinator role possible, at the start of a new year, is an extraordinary gift and a great boost to us all. The additional three days offered will make a significant difference to our effectiveness as a team, and we are deeply grateful to all concerned.
Secondly, we could not be happier that Jane herself was able to accept the role: she brings with her a wealth of experience and skills that make her an ideal addition to the team, as well as a big heart for older people and the vision of Anna Chaplaincy. Her commitment to BRF Ministries and her previous work with the charity also means she can ‘get stuck in’ much more quickly, along with a wide range of well-established networks and contacts. We welcome you, Jane, and are so glad to have you on the team!’
