On the 7th of January some forty people gathered in the Bishop’s Palace Chapel in Wells, Somerset, to celebrate the commissioning of Gill Goodall as an Anna Chaplain.

Gill will be based at the Bishop’s Palace. She will also work alongside Wendy Haslam, Bath and Wells' Anna Chaplaincy coordinator, as work continues to grow more Anna Chaplains within the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

The Revd Gill Sakakini led the service which was a joyful celebration Gill was welcomed into the team. After the service a marvellous tea was provided. 'We do thank staff at the Bishop’s Palace for such hospitality' said Wendy.

The current team of Anna Chaplains within the diocese has now reached eight, with seven Anna Friends.

If you are interested in becoming an Anna Chaplain, please do contact Wendy Haslam.
